Psalm 23
When I first gave my life to the Lord, I remember being filled with awe that I could know God as a friend, someone who would stay by my side – no matter what. He would help me through life and teach me more about Himself. The bible became real to me as I delved into the Scriptures and read about God and what He wanted from me. I loved reading about Jesus and His ministry, how He dealt with people, and the miracles He performed. I still love reading the Gospels.
This is what God does for all of us – He makes Himself real to us. It’s such a wonderful thing that we can have a relationship with the God of the universe, the God who made us – our Creator!
How much time do you spend with the Lord? Whether a new convert or an older saint, it’s easy to become side-tracked with other things and not make time to read the bible or pray to God – spending time in His presence.
Let’s all make a conscious effort this weekend to spend a few more moments in His Presence and enjoy fellowship with our heavenly Father who loves to spend time with His children.
