My recent projects (Nov 19)

Hi peeps, I hope that you’re all doing well. 😊

Thank you all for your interest in my last blog post about a newsletter. I’ve decided not to start one at this time because of lack of interest but let’s see what the new year will bring!

For this blog post, I decided to share with you some of my recent craft projects. I used to do this before, but I haven’t shared anything in ages so it’s time to get back to sharing them.

I’ve made quite a few granny squares in the past, and I planned to make a top with them but other tops I’ve made haven’t turn out fit-wise, as they are often too big, baggy, and heavy. So, this time, I decided to make a granny square bag with them instead.

I’ve made a great start in getting it going, I have the front and back panels all joined up and I’m in the middle of making the gusset, which I hope to finish before the end of the year. The handles are finished so I just need to sew a lining into it then it will be completed.

Sticking with the crochet theme, I also made a crochet hook case which I really like. I used some musical themed fabric and it was my first time sewing with both mesh and vinyl, it turned out great.

The final bag-themed projects are my drawstring and tote bags I’ve been making. These are great gift bags, or they are ideal for keeping craft wip’s in. I use the robin drawstring bag to hold all the bits and pieces for my frog family.

Once I have knitted the pieces, I put them in the bag then seal it closed so they cannot escape! I really dislike it when I know I’ve knitted something but cannot find it because it’s fallen somewhere, or I’ve misplaced it. It’s so annoying, lol, but this drawstring bag solves those problems.

Thanks for reading!

Feel free to share,

Sarah. 😊
