I hope that you’re all doing well.
I thought that I would share some of my favourite craft items I’ve made this year. 😊
I’m pleased that my sewing skills have improved during the year and I know that I’m getting better with every project. I’m also improving I both my bag making skills and installing zips.
Here are my favourite six projects:
Frog family – this was a custom order which was a struggle to finish on time because I underestimated how much time it takes to make and put together knitted toys!
Space-themed bags – I just love this fabric! I wish it was thicker but otherwise the design is awesome!
Christmas gift bags – these were my first idea for bags that people would enjoy at Christmas time. I love the different fabric and these cute designs.
Crochet granny square bag (all crocheted, I just need to work out and add a lining) – technically, this isn’t finished yet, but it will be completed before the year is out. I normally join the squares using black, but I decided on green this time for a different look and I’m really pleased with how it’s worked out.
I do forget that crochet uses more yarn and I’ll probably run out as I don’t think I have enough of the same green for the bottom of the bag, but that’s ok. (I did run out)
Notion pouches – I loved making these! I still haven’t worked out a way so that when I stitch over the first set of stitches that they match at the back perfectly. They match at the front but not at the back. I tend to hand stitch instead to make sure the stitches line up perfectly.
Chicken tote bags – this is such a cute fabric. I loved it as soon as I saw it. This was an early attempt at making a tote bag and I’m still mastering the technique, so it looks neat and the handles are the correct way out with no raw seams exposed. I also made a cross-over type bag with the same fabric, but I haven’t used it yet.
Thank you all for your continued support!
Thank you to everyone who has followed my blog this past year. It encourages me to know that people actually read what I write because these posts take time to produce, not only thinking about what to blog about but also, pictures, and the quality of text.
I’d like to wish you all a very happy Christmas! Enjoy this time of year and relax, if possible.
See you all in the new year! 😊
