Be still, and know that I Am God

Hi peeps,

I hope that you’re all doing well.

I’ve had to close my Etsy shop because of the Coronavirus but it will reopen when things have settled down. Thank you for your understanding.

This week’s blog post is all about staying calm and believing in God!

With all of the world going crazy and running around after toilet rolls, we, as Christians, can remain calm for many reasons:

  1. Firstly: we have a relationship with the living God! Who tells us all through scripture to trust in Him to provide for us, protect us, and help us through all that goes on in the world and our lives.
  2. Secondly, God doesn’t look as us the same way as non-Christians because we belong to Him. We have been called by Him, chosen by Him for such a time as this, to be the light of the world, the salt of the earth. (Matthew 5:13-16) To stand as a herald to proclaim the Gospel message to the world. If we remember when God sent the plagues to Pharaoh and all of Egypt, the people of God were protected from all of them and no harm befell any of them. Exodus 9:26, Exodus 11:7
  3. Thirdly, God is in control. He has everything in hand and knows what He is doing. Everything has a plan and a purpose and even though it doesn’t make any sense to us, we trust in God.

Of course, we should be praying about these events and asking God to intervene and bring some calmness and peace back to the earth. Because we know that God hears and answers the prayers of His people. So, pray for our leaders, our government, and those who make the decisions because they need God’s wisdom and help.

Here are a few Scriptures to encourage you:

Psalm 46:19 Be still and know that I am God.

Philippians 4:6-7 (GNB) Don’t worry about anything, but in all your prayers ask God for what you need, always asking him with a thankful heart. And God’s peace, which is far beyond human understanding, will keep your hearts and minds safe in union with Christ Jesus.

Duet 28:1-14.

Please keep yourselves safe and use reasonable precautions.

Thanks for reading! Feel free to share,

Sarah. 😊
