Hi Peeps, I hope that you’re all doing well.
In a year that’s been challenging for a lot of people with the pandemic, lockdown restrictions, and not being able to see family members from other households – it’s been a struggle for many people.
In 2021, there’s a glimmer of hope shining in the distance as people look forward to another year. We can hope the reduction of confirmed cases and deaths will reduce, the new vaccines will be successful, and our tier levels will hopefully go down. While the beginning of the new year may be challenging, we can be encouraged that change for the better is just around the corner.
I was reminded this year about the value of the local shop. Once lockdown hit and there were queues for the supermarkets, I just managed with food from my local shop and what I didn’t have, I managed without. I did miss free range or organic eggs and most organic foods seemed to be hard to find. I was also surprised by what people were buying such as toilet rolls, pasta, and eggs. It wasn’t as if the supermarkets would run out of things, but people just went crazy buying random things.
Most organisation turned to online avenues. Our church, along with many others, started online streaming for our services. This isn’t ideal but it’s better than no church at all. I missed going to church but there’s nothing to be done about it. Wearing a face covering/mask became the norm and social distancing became a new word. I don’t think things will not go back to how they were before anytime soon.
As Christians, we can be rest assured that nothing takes God by surprise and all things are in His hands and care. God’s plan always prevails, and this is all part of it. While we are not often privy to God’s plans, we can trust Him to bring things together and to give us a way out of this mess. He has proven Himself time and again to help His people and He always looks after those who serve Him.
All through Scripture, we read about God breaking through for His chosen people and we are those people. Trust God in all things and in His time, we will see not only deliverance, healing, and many blessings but we will see how awesome our God really is if we do not lose heart and give up.
I’d like to wish you all a blessed Christmas and a very happy new year. Thank you all for your continued support, I appreciate it! Thank you to all those who have bought things from my shop and for supporting a small business. I’m taking a short break for the festive season, but I will return in the new year. I have several blog posts lined up already. I plan to write more Christian and writing related blog posts next year, as well as craft ones.
If your looking for a last minute gift idea then do remember that I have a few free patterns on here under the tag free pattern.
